Five-star apartment hotel offering exclusive privacy
New luxury resort for El Gouna
El Gouna boasts a new luxury resort and residential complex – the recently opened Ancient Sands Golf Resort & Residences. The destination’s first five-star apartment hotel features 83 residences and 56 guestrooms in a soothing blend of traditional and contemporary design. Located atop a 45 foot raised hill, the Ancient Sands Resort offers 4 separate buildings, each with it’s own private gardens and pool, and breath-taking views of El Gouna, the Red Sea and the mountains.
The resort complex opened in two stages and comprises various suites and junior suites. Each residence features a separate living area, a fully-equipped kitchen and a modern bathroom. Guests may choose from one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments or villas. Additional conveniences include concierge services, housekeeping and room service as well as three pools and a piazza. A series of small boutiques are to follow. The range of culinary offerings range from a hotel restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner** (**breakfast only) to a lobby bar and a café.
“Ancient Sands is another great addition to the attractive hotel portfolio El Gouna offers guests year-round. The existing choice of hotels for every budget is now joined by a five-star property which stands for unique luxury, tranquillity and exclusive privacy,” explains Jens Freise, Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Orascom Hotels Management.
Once completed, the luxury resort will also boast a 18-hole championship golf course designed by Karl Litten including a golf club estate house, three tennis courts, various water sports facilities, a playground and a peaceful spa with sauna, steam room and fitness area. The first nine holes of the golf course are scheduled to open as early as July.
