Montenegro’s new, stylish five-star resort

Press Release

Montenegro’s new, stylish five-star resort:

The crown jewel of the new residential and holiday venue, The Chedi Luštica Bay, opens in July 2018.

Cairo/Munich, June 2018 (w&p) – A luxury retreat nestled between the Adriatic Sea and scenic mountains:  On July 14th, 2018, the Chedi Luštica Bay resort, located on the magnificent Montenegro coast, will open its doors. The 111-room resort is set directly in the heart of the marina and is the architectural highlight of Luštica Bay’s emerging residential and holiday resort. With its tastefully designed rooms and suites, private beach, infinity pool, its inviting spa area in an intimate and warm atmosphere and its outstanding culinary offer, the resort brings a new, luxury category of hotel business to Montenegro. Just one more reason to visit this small country on the beautiful Adriatic coast, considered to be one of the most diverse and beautiful holiday destinations in Europe.

A well-thought-out design in harmony with its surroundings

The resort, developed by the renowned American team of architects tvsdesign, demonstrates their work reflecting the traditional style of the region while blending harmoniously into its surroundings. When designing the inside, GG & Grace, specialists in luxury hotel design, gave it a Mediterranean flair, skilfully harmonising it with modern design elements and warm-coloured lighting.

The 111 rooms and suites and the 165 square metre penthouses all offer an elegant ambience. Floor-to-ceiling windows bring abundant light to the rooms and offer views of the surrounding mountains or the bay. The furnishings also reflect a great sense of design and taste, with high-quality furniture, sophisticated lighting technology and details such as rain showers or bathtubs with sea views.

Beach and spa vacations for connoisseurs

Sun worshippers will be delighted with the resort’s private beach and the infinity pool that stretches over three levels and seems to pour seamlessly into the sea. In the hotel spa, fine wooden walls and floors, generous ceramic surfaces and organic shapes create a peaceful, near-nature and authentic atmosphere. The treatments are based on traditional Eastern healing techniques to gently regenerate body and mind. A heated indoor pool with a sea view and a lounge area, sauna, steam bath and fitness room with state-of-the-art equipment complete the comprehensive wellness offer.

Haute cuisine and event planning

The international “The Restaurant” offers theme evenings and a wide range of services. Whether for breakfast or dinner – with live cooking stations, a buffet and a spacious terrace – nothing is left to be desired. At the marina, guests can enjoy Asian-inspired snacks and light dishes at “The Spot,” a casual restaurant offering “show-cuisine” and Mediterranean dishes with a touch of Asian influence. Live music or a DJ provide for a casual and friendly atmosphere.

“The Rok,” the bar located on a natural rock terrace above the beach, is the ideal place for small treats in between meals or a cocktail at sunset. Enjoy an afternoon coffee or an evening drink at the Lobby Bar.

With its 175 square metre ballroom, a smaller conference room and a welcoming reception area, The Chedi is the perfect setting for a wide range of events, from family celebrations to corporate incentive programmes and conferences. As a special extra, MICE customers can use the entire Luštica Bay venue as a playground and take their events to a completely new level.

“We are very happy to introduce new standards for luxury holidays to the Mediterranean region with The Chedi Luštica Bay. Guests should immediately feel at home in the building and throughout the entire venue’s grounds. With this project, we intend to show tour operators and holidaymakers why Montenegro is becoming a trend-setting destination, and why the new The Chedi offers them the perfect starting point for their journey,” says Jens Freise, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Orascom Development Holding AG.

Luštica Bay: Vacationing in Montenegro’s first eco-certified resort

The Chedi is the first resort of the newly designed residential and holiday area of Luštica Bay. In addition to several other hotels, two marinas and an 18-hole golf course, there are a variety of restaurants, conference centres, shopping facilities and wellness and leisure facilities that are being built there. Residents and guests will be able to take part in the life around the town centre, promenade and marina over almost 700 hectares of land – plenty of room for rest and relaxation. When developing the town, special attention was paid to the generous division of space and sustainable construction by using local, environmentally-friendly materials. Luštica Bay is the first eco-certified project in the country.

The bay is the perfect starting point for discovering Montenegro. With its dream beaches, deep gorges, dense forests and impressive mountain sceneries, the small country is one of the most attractive and fastest-growing travel destinations in Europe. Active holidaymakers and adventurers will enjoy this wonderful country as much as culture lovers and those interested in history.
