El Gouna vaccinates its hotel staff
Schmitt: An important step in ensuring the safety and well-being of our guests and staff
El Hamamsy: El Gouna is a 30-year story of sustainable growth and we are keen to provide the best services and safety for all our visitors and residents
El Gouna, 12 May 2021, Orascom Development’s flagship town, El Gouna, has consistently upheld the highest safety measures for its visitors, residents, and staff throughout this turbulent period – including its unique implementation of multi-dimensional hygiene protocol. Additionally, El Gouna has abided by numerous strict safety measures, including adapted intervals between room occupancy, daily contactless temperature checks for all hotel staff and guests, social distancing, and contactless payments. In line with these conscientious efforts, the town has successfully vaccinated all hotel staff. This also comes in accordance with the Ministry of Health and Population’s intent to vaccinate all workers in the tourism sector; ensuring El Gouna is a safe destination to welcome back tourists after an incredibly challenging year for El Gouna and the tourism sector.
In discussing the decision to vaccinate resort staff, Joachim Schmitt, CEO of Orascom Hotels Management (the hotel management subsidiary of Orascom Development Group) stated: “Successfully vaccinating all of El Gouna hotel staff is an important step to transform El Gouna as a safe touristic destination. By providing vaccines to all the staff across the town, we are ensuring all our visitors’ safety and well-being. This also goes in line with our holistic hygiene “TogetherWeCan!” Concept […] All of our measures are closely and regularly monitored and audited by TÜV NORD, with a strong focus on our food safety and hygiene practices.”
Similarly, Omar El Hamamsy, Group CEO of Orascom Development Holding, added: “For more than thirty years, El Gouna is a story of sustainable growth and dedication, being a fully integrated town that aims to maintain a level of prosperity and caters to the needs and safety of a diverse community. Stemming from our keenness to provide the best services, in the safest way possible, we strictly abide by Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population’s measures to maintain El Gouna to continue being a safe destination for our visitors and residents.”
Orascom Hotel Management (OHM) vaccinated not only El Gouna’s hotel staff, but Taba Heights’ as well.
This ambitious undertaking was ardently motivated by OHM’s ‘Together We Can!’ initiative which launched last year to protect and ensure the safety of all guests during such an unprecedented period, thus proving the company’s dedication towards the safety of its guests and staff.
