Exclusive concerts on the Red Sea coast
Heino rocks El Gouna
German hit songs under sunny Egyptian skies: On January 16 and 17 visitors in El Gouna had the unique opportunity to see pop legend Heino live and up close during an exclusive performance for guests at the acclaimed Red Sea beach resort. A total of more than 700 visitors and locals came to see the two shows at the TU Berlin satellite campus auditorium in El Gouna, singing along to golden oldies like “Blau blueht der Enzian” or “Schwarzbraun ist die Haselnuss”. Proceeds from the concerts are donated to support a school project in Namibia.
His trademarks are pitch black sun glasses and platinum blonde hair, and his hit songs have long become cult classics: For decades, musician Heino has been an iconic part of the German music business with a broad base of loyal followers. On January 16 and 17 the singer gave two concerts at the Egyptian beach resort of El Gouna. Over 700 pop music fans including guests of the year-round holiday destination as well as locals flocked to the TU Berlin campus to see Heino perform live.
Proceeds go to the Reiner Meutsch foundation FLY & HELP whose main goal is the promotion of education. Funded by donations, FLY & HELP primarily builds schools in developing countries. The most recent project is a school for 250 children in Namibia the organisation is able to establish thanks to the financial contributions from the two Heino shows.
